Midterm Critique

mantra : Through an exploration of non-traditional jewellery materials, I am interested in creating a collection of inclusive work that has been designed with the needs of all children in mind, including those with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and tactile defensiveness/sensitivity.  My goal is to design objects of play that have the potential to enhance one’s social skills, sensory organization, and concentration.

Maureen My Ngoc

Recent London College of Fashion graduate Maureen My Ngoc created a collection of highly conceptual jewelry and fashion accessories. She created three-dimensional patterns using origami techniques that made the pieces fluid and flexible on the body. The goal was to create works to wear for aesthetic purposes but also as a means of protection or armor for the body.
